At Northeast, we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and live out our faith in practical ways. Here are the essentials of what we believe:
Jesus Christ – He is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and rose again. (1 Cor. 15:1-8 / John 3:16)
Creation & Humanity – Every person is made in God’s image and has eternal worth, but all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. (Rom. 3:23)
Salvation – Those who trust Christ are called to repent, confess faith, and be baptized. (Rom. 10:9 / Acts 2:38)
The Bible – God’s Word is inspired, guiding our lives as a lamp and light for every step. (2 Tim. 3:16 / Ps. 119:105)
New Life in Christ – Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to all who trust Him as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16)
The Church – The Church is the Body of Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, here to serve, grow believers, and share the gospel. (Eph. 4:1-16)
Jesus’ Return – Christ will return one day to reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (1 Thess. 4:13-18)
At Northeast, we have a simple prayer we ask God every day:
“God, give me one person to share your love with today.”
We believe God is ready and willing to answer this prayer. Each of us has the opportunity to share His love with someone in need, and God places people in our lives for this very purpose. Pray for One reminds us of our mission as Christians: to live out our faith and make disciples by loving others every day.
Each week, we share inspiring messages from God’s Word that speak to real life today. We believe the Bible is practical and life-changing—when we put its teachings into action, we gain the strength, hope, and guidance to face life’s challenges, grow in faith, and live as God designed.
At Northeast, worship isn’t just what happens on Sunday mornings—it’s not just the songs we sing or the words we say. True worship is the way we live our lives. We aim to live with passion, fully surrendered to God, letting our daily actions reflect our love for Him. This is the kind of worship God desires and the kind we strive to practice every day.
We believe following Jesus means loving God, loving others, and living to serve in every area of life. While we gather together on Sundays to worship and grow, real life change happens through community and serving alongside others.
That’s why we encourage everyone to be involved in a small group and to serve — both within the church and throughout our community. When we live out our faith together, we grow stronger, build meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact.

Serving at Northeast since 2000, Justin was the Youth Minister before taking the Lead Pastor role in 2007. He is a graduate of Florida Christian College, now Johnson University. Justin is married to Fay and they have three sons.
Dana has been with Northeast as the Worship Minister since 2007. He is a graduate of Florida Christian College, now Johnson University, and UCF. He is also an RN at AdventHealth Orlando. He is married to Jennifer and they have four children: Piper, Asher, Brayson, and Judah.
Jennifer has been the Children’s Minister at Northeast since 2014. Before taking over the children’s ministry she was a kindergarten teacher for 8 years. She is a graduate of Florida Christian College, now Johnson University. She is married to our Worship Minister, Dana.
Laura has a heart for community, connecting people, and fostering relationships that matter. With a lifetime of ministry experience, she’s passionate about helping others find their place and feel at home. When she’s not at church, you can find her enjoying time with her family or soaking up the sunshine. She’s also always up for a good conversation over coffee, especially at her house where she and husband Ashley host a NECC Core Group.
Alyssa is our Financial Administrator. She also works for Novum Partners, an organization that helps churches, non profits and value driven businesses with strategy and back office operations. She is married to our Outreach Minister, Alex.
Alex joined our staff in 2018 as the Outreach Minister. He is in charge of our live streaming and social media outreach campaigns. He is also a Spanish teacher for Florida Virtual School. Alex is married to Alyssa.
Meet Erika Spencer, our amazing youth minister. Married to Jason and a proud parent of three, she brings passion and joy to her role. Erika’s love for Starbucks fuels her energetic spirit, while her fondness for video games adds a playful touch to her ministry. With a heart full of love and a cup of coffee in hand, she guides young souls with warmth and compassion, making a lasting impact on our community.
Introducing Jed Peters, our dedicated Youth Adult Minister with a zest for life. Beyond his role, Jed’s passions include cheering for the gators and catching baseball games whenever he can. As if that’s not enough, he’s also a savvy real estate agent, helping families find their dream homes. With Jed, you’ll find a perfect blend of enthusiasm, faith, and expertise, making him an invaluable member of our community.
With a lifetime of faith and a toolbox full of tricks, Ashley keeps NECC running smoothly behind the scenes. Though he’s only been part of our church family since 2020 his heart for ministry and DIY spirit have been shaping his life since day one. When he’s not fixing leaky faucets or patching holes in walls, you can find him on his guitar or the drums with our worship band.
